The Parish Development Model (PDM) is the last mile strategy for service delivery by Government of Uganda for improving incomes and welfare of all Ugandans at the household level. The Parish Development Model is made up of seven pillars:

1. Production, Processing and Marketing

2. Infrastructure and Economic Services

3. Financial Inclusion

4. Social Services

5. Mindset Change, Community Mobilisation and Cross Cutting Isuues

6.Parish Based Management Information System (PDMIS)

7. Governence and Adminsitration 

Zombo District like any other district is implementing PDM and one of the Best irish potato farmer Mr. Agenonga Collins Wanok from Nyaka Village, Ayaka parish-Akaa sub-county could not hide his joy of earning Ugx. 10million from PDM investment of Ugx. 1m that he got in 2023 who invested it in irish potato farming. The District team led by District Production Officer Mr. Kumakech Walter and Assistant RDC Mr. Bruno Manano visisted the farmer and inspected his garden or farm and this season, he expects to earn Ugx. 40m from the harvest he expects by December 2025.
